Ronald Trogram schuf die Handel Gothic-Schriftfamilie 1980. Für diese Serifenlose ersetzte er manche normalerweise geraden Elemente durch Bogen, zumeist auf der linken Seite. Diese ungewöhnlichen Rundungen geben der Schrift ein futuristisches (Space-Age-) Gefühl. Die Handel Gothic ist in den Schriftschnitten Light, Medium und Bold verfügbar. Trograms Design wurde ursprünglich als Film durch Photostar, einen Fotosatzhersteller, der heute nicht mehr existiert, vertrieben.
